To the North you have The
Grampians National Park,
a haven for nature lovers. Declared a National Park
in 1984, The Grampians National Park is an oasis of
diversity, set amongst the agricultural Western District
of Victoria. The 167,000 acres house around a third of
Victoria's plant species, and forms a safe haven for
many species of marsupial and mammal.
Another place of interest is The
Sir Reginald Ansett Transport Museum located on the
shores of Lake Hamilton and within easy walking distance
of the Hamilton city centre. It has toilets, barbecue
facilities and ample parking for cars and caravans.
